The ancient hill town of Artà with around 6,000 inhabitants sits against the dramatic backdrop of the rolling sierras de Levante mountains situated on the east of Mallorca. It's main attraction is the Santuari de Sant Salvador, it’s worth the climb up for the panoramic views of the east and its gentle mountain range. The church of San Salvador in the centre of Artà dates back to the 13th century.

The village of Son Servera is a bit smaller - around 5,000 inhabitants, one of the most emblematic buildings of the village is the church Església Nova, made by Joan Rubió who was disciple of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, Neo-Gothic style and never completed, nowadays it is used as a hall for celebrations.

Traditional Mallorcan markets are held every Tuesday (in Artà) and Friday (in Son Servera) with stalls selling fruit, flowers, local crafts, clothes and household goods. Both towns offer a true taste of Mallorca that most tourists will never be lucky enough to discover. Relaxed atmosphere with some good restaurants.

The closest beaches are Sa Coma and Cala Millor, both of them just around 5 kilometres away. Sa Coma and Cala Millor are the largest and liveliest resorts on the east coast of Mallorca. They are very popular areas offering all the ingredients necessary for a relaxing holiday by the sea. The amazing beaches have fine sand gently sloping into clear water, holidays in Cala Millor very much focus on the superb long sandy Cala Millor beach with its pleasant waterfront promenade, this beach is considered one of the finest beaches in the island. There is also a palm lined promenade runs along the length of Sa Coma beach to S'Illot, once an old fishing village, which retains a more traditional atmosphere.
