Santa Maria del Cami is 15 kilometers away from Palma. A highway runs through the municipality to Palma. The peaceful village presents itselfs with views over the plains of central Majorca and to the mountains of the Sierra Tramuntana. Many hiking trails have their starting points in Santa Maria del Cami. The monastery of Santa Maria was built in the 1216th and is today a museum with beautiful gardens. Some traditional restaurants offer good food to low prices. A well-known fine dining restaurant exists as well in the village. Sunday is market day, where tourists and inhabitants buy agricultural products.
